CBD Oil for Dementia

CBD has entered the mainstream within the last half-decade or so. This is attributed not only to a limited amount of research that shows it may provide health benefits for medical conditions such as anxiety, arthritis, insomnia, and inflammation but also due to the anecdotal evidence that many people have discovered from using CBD.

While people have found that CBD may benefit their conditions, additional research is needed to understand why CBD may provide these benefits, along with knowing what the short and long-term efficacy of utilizing CBD may provide.

The 2018 Farm Bill legalized growing hemp, and while this has allowed the CBD industry to explode, the industry is in somewhat of a gray area when it comes to the FDA and regulation.

Although, there have been numerous studies completed many more are needed, including potential benefits that CBD oil may provide for Dementia.

In this article, CBD School will explain what Dementia is, and what is currently known about the benefits CBD may provide for those who are suffering from this debilitating disease.

What Does CBD Oil Taste Like?

So you’re new to the world of CBD and are interested in trying CBD oil but are a bit apprehensive because you may have heard that the taste isn’t great.

Well, first there’s nothing to worry about. While CBD comes from the cannabis plant, most associate it with marijuana smells which are pretty potent, similar to the spray a skunk gives off when it is fearful, CBD oil doesn’t taste like a smelly skunk.

In fact, CBD oil without any added ingredients doesn’t taste like much, it’s actually pretty bland and earthy-tasting.

Before we dig a bit deeper into how CBD oil tastes, and ways to combat the taste if you desire to, let’s first discuss what CBD oil is.

How to Use CBD Shatter

CBD shatter is a category that is growing within the CBD industry. This could be due to THC-based shatter having its moment of popularity, and naturally, brands see the success and decide to incorporate it into their business model.

Whatever the case may be, the consumer is seeing more and more brands offering CBD strains that are made into CBD shatter for the end user to enjoy, and for that we at CBD School are thankful.

While CBD shatter falls under the umbrella of controversy because the user needs to inhale it into their lungs, which we all know has risks involved, the once very niche market is gaining steam, and quickly.

What is CBD Shatter?

CBD shatter is a bi-product of CBD isolates. It contains 99.9% CBD with only very minute traces of any other cannabinoid or any other part of the hemp plant.

Due to shatter needing a solvent to be extracted, usually butane, it is dangerous to make without the necessary equipment or knowledge and you shouldn’t attempt to make it at home.

Green Unicorn Farms CBD Review

Slowly carving its niche within the CBD industry, Green Unicorn Farms, is becoming a player amongst the larger brands.

While they don’t put their hands in the dirt to physically grow the hemp plants that are packaged for their products, they carefully curate everything else that the brand touches.

This includes working with the farmers in selecting what strains they would like to incorporate into their product line, which includes CBD hemp flower, CBD prerolls, CBD tinctures, CBD gummies, and CBD topicals.

CBD School was lucky to be one of the first CBD information sites that were able to test a whole bunch of products around the time the brand launched at the end of 2019.

Over the years there have been a bunch of CBD flower-first CBD brands that have launched, tapping a market that was originally overlooked within the CBD industry as it began to grow. Nowadays, this niche of the market is exploding, and Green Unicorn Farms looks to capitalize on what they see as a gap within the market of more affordable CBD flower products, while also offering the more traditional CBD products like tinctures, gummies, and topicals.

Extract Labs Brand Review

Extract Labs and their CBD products have made it to the list of INC. magazine’s list of America’s Fastest-Growing companies. Not too shabby for a small CBD brand that was started in 2016 by an ex-Army officer in a corner of his garage.

If you read CEO Craig Henderson’s story you wouldn’t be all that surprised that Extract Labs is on a roll, however.

Twice nominated for a Bronze Star, Henderson received an ARCOM with Valor award while serving in Iraq. After his military duty, Henderson went on to earn his Master’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in thermal sciences and renewable energy.

Having worked sales for a CO2 extraction company, conducting cannabis-related research and development, Henderson had a front seat for what has become somewhat of a CBD boom.

While his path makes for a great brand story, does one man’s vision of “making products that everyone could try” deliver?

Let’s Talk About CBD Oil Cost

CBD oil has become popular and pushed its way into the mainstream for a few reasons. The main reason is due to CBD having therapeutic properties and possible health benefits that span many conditions that people deal with daily.

The health conditions that make people turn to CBD frequently run from sleep-related issues (here is an article that educates you on CBD strains for sleep), arthritis, anxiety, and nausea.

There have been many studies performed around the health benefits of CBD1 and other cannabinoids are beginning to gain some spotlight from the cannabis industry, along with research being performed around these lesser known cannabinoids.2

Where Do You Buy CBD Oil?

CBD has been gaining traction in the mainstream for the last couple of years. As more and more people gain knowledge about CBD and all the possible health benefits CBD may provide, the next inevitable question is where do you buy CBD oil?

Let’s first give you a brief overview of some factors that should go into you feeling comfortable about a CBD brand and its CBD products. While the CBD industry is relatively new, and although CBD is legal to purchase, at least in one form or another, in all 50 states, this does not mean all CBD products are created equally.

What Separates CBD Brands

The Farm Bill in 2018 made it legal to grow hemp in the United States. While this is a major hurdle that the cannabis industry has overcome, there are still many roads to cross prior to CBD and cannabis being a fully accepted industry in the mainstream.

The FDA has still not given the full green light to CBD-related products which leave the industry in sort of a gray area when it comes to the marketing of CBD products, along with the “FDA has concluded that THC and CBD products are excluded from the dietary supplement definition.”1 This also keeps the industry from creating a uniform recommended dose of CBD for people to universally follow.

So, with all of this said, it is important for the consumer to understand what makes a CBD product, or CBD brand, “good” or “bad”. Understanding some important factors to look out for will assist in knowing where to spend your hard-earned money, along with understanding what locations make sense for you to feel comfortable in answering the question, “where do you buy CBD oil?”

What Does CBD Oil Treat?

More people these days seem to be taking their health more seriously and are interested in enhancing their physical health with a cannabinoid that is increasingly becoming more mainstream called CBD. CBD oil has also caught the interest of a lot of researchers who have been performing studies to understand its efficacy and ability to assist in treating certain ailments.

As of a few years ago, most people had never heard of CBD, and now the entire cannabis industry is accelerating quicker than almost all industries. Maybe this is because states are softening their stance on CBD’s cousin, THC, or maybe because in 2018 the Farm Bill was signed which federally granted the approval to grow hemp.

Are you familiar with the potential health benefits of CBD oil? Do you know where it originates from, and what CBD oil may be able to assist with treating? Let’s dig in!

Some other cannabinoids you may know of or see products that feature them are CBN, CBG, CBC, Delta-8 THC, and THC.

While there have been many studies performed that look at the efficacy of CBD, and many people have heard about some of the illnesses that CBD has shown possible positive effects on assist with, like chronic pain1, arthritis2, insomnia3, and anxiety4, many more studies need to occur prior to CBD stepping out of the grey area that it currently sits.

What is Hemp Oil Good For?

As CBD begins to become more mainstream, more and more people will begin to inquire what hemp oil is good for. While CBD still remains in a gray area between being able to sell CBD products, and the FDA not fully giving CBD its full blessing, many studies have been completed that show CBD, and hemp oil may have health benefits for you.

The benefits of hemp oil vary, from assisting in the treatment of health issues ranging from skin to digestive issues. It may also have the potential to enhance several aspects of your life, like allowing you to get a better night’s rest, to relaxing you a bit in stressful situations.

Moisturizing Skin

Hemp oil contains omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. The omega-3s help reduce inflammation, and the omega-6 fatty acids help repair damaged cells.

It also has vitamins A, C, D, and E, which are antioxidants that protect your body from free radicals (which cause aging).

It also contains gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an essential fatty acid in many oils and nuts like borage seed oil, evening primrose oil, and black currant seed oil.
