We get asked all the time about what is the best wattage you need to vape CBD. This is not a simple question.

There are many factors to consider when thinking about wattages, such as quality of the CBD, the actual vape gear, and much others.

This article is intended to clarify all about it.

Vaping CBD

When you are vaping CBD, it is essential to keep in mind that you don’t want to crank up your wattage very high. Remember, the wattage is the heat needed to turn your juice into vapor that you can inhale. So, you want to make sure you are vaporizing your liquid evenly to have the best experience.

When you increase your wattage, you are making the coil over-heated, which will burn the CBD. So, in other words, you are transforming the CBD vaping experience into a wasted attempt to enjoy CBD.

The CBD School recommends keeping your wattage between 10-30 watts for the best vaping experience. Such heat will make sure you are having your vapors while keeping the quality of your CBD product intact.

To find the perfect wattage for you, we recommend the “adjust to taste” method.

The “Adjust To Taste” Method

The ‘adjust to taste method’ means you start your wattage low, maybe at 10 watts and then increase it gradually while testing the vapor. You can be the judge by trying the different wattages and how they are affecting the amount of power and flavor of your vapes.

If you are not satisfied turn up your vape device to 15 watts and start the process over. Keep increasing your wattages until you reach the level that you like and just keep it there.

The Right Device to Vape CBD

A question you might have is how do you pick the perfect device to vape CBD?

When you are shopping around or perhaps digging through all your existing vape gear, keep in mind that there are many different vaping devices on the market.

There are also many tanks, atomizers, and cartridges, All are different.

Since a lot of the sub-ohm tanks on the market today require coil heads that have lower ohms, we recommend you stay away from these.

The reason we recommend you stay away from sub-ohm tanks is they require a lot more wattage to vape CBD. A lot more wattage to vape your CBD is something you don’t want.

If you really want to use your sub-ohm tank, try and find a coil head that has a higher ohm such as 0.5 or higher.

The best device to use when vaping CBD, in our opinion, is a pod system.

Vaping CBD with Pod Systems

Pod systems have coils in them that are built with higher ohms such as 1 ohm or sometimes even 1.6 ohms. The higher the ohms, the less wattage you will need to power that coil! Lower wattage is exactly what you are looking for when vaping CBD.

Pod systems have a battery that is set to a particular wattage. Most pod systems do not have the ability to adjust that wattage. The good news is a lot of these pod systems are only putting out between 10-15 watts and that is plenty of power to get the most out of your favorite CBD vape product.

CBD Vape Juice (Choosing the right one)

Choosing the right CBD vape juice is important when vaping CBD. There are many flavors available and types of CBD to choose from. You can pick between Full Spectrum CBD or CBD Isolates

There are many differences between Full Spectrum CBD and CBD Isolates aside from their price points. You might even be interested in making your own natural CBD vape juice. Preparing your vape juice at home will give you the opportunity to create a liquid that has to nicotine in it. So, you will end up with a relatively healthier vaping liquid than those on the market and you will have control over their flavors!

Vaping Full Spectrum CBD

Full Spectrum CBD contains everything that the hemp plant contains. Nothing is removed or isolated and it contains THC, CBN, CBG, natural fatty acids, terpenes, and many other compounds. Under Federal Guidelines, CBD products must contain 0.03% or less THC so they won’t give you that “high” feeling1

Smoking CBD will not and should not make you high. People who resort to CBD vaping are those who want to benefit from the health benefits it offers, especially to anxiety and insomnia2.

cbd isolate

Vaping CBD Isolate

CBD Isolate is a very common form of CBD that is produced differently than the CBD oil. It is the purest form available. The name CBD Isolate means that the CBD is isolated away from all the other chemicals that exist in the hemp plant like the CBG, CBN, THC, Terpenes, and essential oilsAll these compounds occur naturally in the hemp plant. When the CBD is isolated, it is extracted to stand alone.

Because CBD isolate has no other ingredient. This means that you will not find in it not even a trace of THC. So, if you want to vape CBD and cannot afford to have any THC in your system, this is ideal form to use. Also, if you are sensitive to compounds found in the hemp plant, you need to keep your eye fixated on the CBD isolate as the best form of CBD to use.

Disposable CBD Vape Pens

CBD vape pens are a popular choice for many people who are seeking to vape CBD for the first time.

Disposable CBD Pens are great because you simply charge them with a USB port and enjoy the experience.

They are already filled with CBD Vape Juice and are set to the right wattage.

Tips For Vaping CBD For The First Time

Find the flavor you enjoy the most.

This is the fun part: finding the right flavor that you can enjoy.

There are many types of CBD juice to choose from; so, experiment and find out which one you like the most. Many people try one flavor, hate the taste and give up the experience while others keep trying until they pick the right one for them.

CBD Vape Juice Shouldn’t Contain Nicotine

One thing to remember is that you are not vaping nicotine when you use CBD vape juice but it’s always best to double check. Most vape juice manufacturers do not add nicotine; but some others do.

Lab test results are important because you want to make sure your CBD vape juice has been tested by a 3rd party for quality and compliance with cleanliness standards. So, before you pick the product, read the label and look for transparency and validity.

You Will Not Blow Fat Vape Clouds

Because you are vaping at a low wattage you will not blow fat vape clouds like you would with a nicotine vape. So, when vaping CBD, you will enjoy the experience, get the health benefits of CBD, but you will not exhale large vape clouds. So, do not expect a show.

Vaping CBD is a delivery method that many people find beneficial. All you need to do is just keeping in mind to start with low wattage and make sure it stays low to avoid burning your CBD.

You want to make sure you purchase the best CBD that will accommodate your lifestyle.

If you’re interested in vaping CBD, we recommend you head over to Savage CBD or CBDfx, 2 companies that offer an excellent selection of vape devices and vape juices.  Read CBD School’s Savage CBD review, along with checking out CBDfx’s review.

CBD is a great natural ingredient that many resort to for solving a health problem. Since it became legal, many started looking for CBD products. Vaping is one way to route the benefits of the CBD into your system.

Before turning to vaping, you need to know that it can cause short term side effects like having a dry mouth. The long term side effects of vaping are still unclear and it will take few more years to determine the exact consequences of heavy long term vaping. Some studies have linked the act of vaping to bronchiolitis when diacetyl is present in the vaping liquid. Others linked it to heart problems or asthma flares. Talk to your doctor before starting to vape3

Note from CBD School: Due to the impact of the corona virus, we encourage those who vape to reconsider their decisions. Vaping has shown to be an aggravating factor for people who are infected with the virus. Read more here. When in doubt — do not put it in your lungs!
