Cannabis Use and Pro-Social Behavior

Scientists link cannabis consumption to greater empathy, agreeableness, and moral fairness.

What is Hemp?

Many individuals consider hemp to be a magical plant that can improve one’s health, along with having the ability to replace other fabric materials, like cotton, that are used to make clothing and ropes. The vitamins, micronutrients, and minerals found in hemp can pose some health benefits, and the sustainability of the plant makes the hemp plant very beneficial for many needs.

When it comes to hemp, there is simply too much to discuss. To assist you with gaining more knowledge about this very beneficial plant we have provided some much-needed information to help you understand what hemp is and how it works.

What is Hemp?

Hemp, sometimes known as industrial hemp, is a biological group of Cannabis sativa that is grown specifically for hemp products for industrial or therapeutic use. It is versatile enough to be used in producing many different kinds of goods. The hemp plant grows at a very quick growth rate, actually one of the quickest on the planet, similar to the bamboo plant.

Additionally, this is one of the earliest plants that was woven into a fiber that could be used 500 centuries ago. It is possible to process it into a wide variety of goods that are used in the commercial sector, such as textiles, paper, rope, plastics, clothes, biodegradable polymers, paint, insulation, animal feed, and food in general.

The plant is a robust annual herb that stands straight and is fragrant. The thin stalks, which resemble canes, are thin everywhere but the very top and very bottom. The blooms are relatively small and have a yellow-green coloration. The leaves are complex and have the shape of palms. The pistillate, often known as female, flowers are the ones that bear the blooms that produce the seeds. These blooms grow in bunches that resemble long spikes. On staminate, sometimes known as male plants, groups of flowers that produce pollen have multiple branches.

CBD Regulatory Debacle

CBD regulatory debacle ensues as UK bureaucrats try to shoehorn a plant extract into a framework meant for synthetic food ingredients.

How Long Do CBD Edibles Last?

Despite mixed reactions from the medical community, many people consider CBD to be an effective treatment in giving them relief from various medical conditions, like anxiety, sleep, arthritis, and inflammation. CBD is used in the production of many CBD products that are on the market from capsules, tincture oil, drinks, and topicals to some of the more popular ones like CBD gummies, cookies, and any other type of edible you can think of.

And because of how popular CBD has become, many people are curious about how long its effects last – especially when it comes to edibles. After all, no one wants to feel high (some people may get a slight buzz when taking full-spectrum CBD products) or experience other side effects for longer than necessary.

This article will answer the question, ‘how long do edibles last?’

We will also answer other questions about CBD edibles and how to prolong their shelf life.

How Long Do CBD Edibles Last?

The answer to that question isn’t as simple as you might think. How long the effects of CBD edibles last depends on several factors. These include your weight, metabolism, the potency of the edibles, and how much you’ve eaten.

What is a CBD Tincture?

CBD or Cannabidiol is a chemical compound that is found naturally in the Cannabis plant which includes the Marijuana (Sativa), and Hemp plants. The plant may contain more than 80 different kinds of compounds. THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is also an important ingredient of the Cannabis plant that is more psychoactive when compared to CBD.

CBD has been found to be useful in assisting with the treatment of many different health conditions including epilepsy, sleep disorders, anxiety, muscle and joint pain, inflammation, and many more. The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has also approved a CBD-based drug, Epidiolex, which helps in the treatment of seizures associated with Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.

CBD Tincture

People are more aware of CBD nowadays due to its health benefits, and the fact that you can find some form of CBD at many stores around the country, not just specialty stores. However, the marijuana plant has been known for its therapeutic properties since ancient times. Many different civilizations have been using the plant for its benefits and recreational effects for centuries.

Many different kinds of products have been created for delivering Cannabis compounds (including CBD) to the human body. These include edibles (CBD gummies), capsules, CBD drinks, CBD topicals, and CBD vape juice.

Tinctures have been used in many different therapeutic procedures for delivering medicine and are considered to be more traditional and old-school. The tincture bottle contains either full-spectrum CBD, broad-spectrum CBD or CBD isolate that is delivered with a CBD carrier oil, and sometimes the formula also has additional ingredients like cbdMD’s PM CBD oil that has melatonin which is good for sleep.

What Does Cannabidiol Do?

CBD or Cannabidiol is a chemical compound found in the plant, Cannabis Sativa (hemp or cannabis). CBD is derived from hemp that only contains traces of Tetrahydrocannabinol (TCH). The effects of CBD are way different from THC. Prescription forms of cannabidiol are used to assist in the treatment of many health issues like anxiety, sleep disorders, epilepsy, muscle and joint pain, and arthritis.

The 2018 Farm Bill made it legal to cultivate, process, and sell hemp in the United States. While it is legal to grow hemp, and CBD is pretty much legal everywhere in the US, the industry remains in a grey area when it comes to regulation. The FDA does not currently approve any over-the-counter CBD products, and since cannabidiol isn’t regulated by the FDA, CBD cannot be marketed as a supplement or drug. CBD is allowed by the FDA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetics Act (FD&C Act)1, which pretty much classifies CBD as a “cosmetic”.

Hemp and marijuana plants are both members of the cannabis plant family. While both plants contain both THC and CBD compounds, the amount of THC in the hemp plant is significantly less than the amount in the marijuana plant. It is actually legal to have up to 0.3% THC within a CBD product, and the products that contain this amount are full-spectrum CBD products.

Does CBD Produce a “High”?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is among the phytochemicals and non-psychoactive cannabinoids that are present in the cannabis plant or hemp plant. The cannabinoid that produces a “high” in the cannabis plant or hemp plant is Tetrahydrocannabinol (TCH).

Medical marijuana produces “high” but, CBD products do not. Phytocannabinoids in cannabis interact with the endocannabinoid system or ECS and can affect different body functions like sleep, pain processing ability, mood, inflammation, etc.

MCT Oil in CBD: What Does it Do?

You’ve definitely seen MCT Oil as a carrier oil in some of your favorite CBD products or in powder form in the kitchens of your friends that follow the ketogenic diet. So, why are you seeing this type of oil everywhere and what are some of the oil’s long-term health advantages?

Let’s dig into MCT oil and why you may want to consider products that contain it.

What is MCT Oil?

Medium Chain Triglycerides, commonly known as “MCT”, are good fats that convert straight to fuels in the formation of ketones with little help from your liver. These Ketones are a valuable component of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) for the system and are one of the two principal forms of energy production in your body.

Each cell within our anatomy relies on ATP energies to operate. You’ve probably heard of the ketogenic diet plan; this diet method encourages the system to function on ketones (fatty acids) instead of glucose (from carbohydrates). Ketosis is the name for this condition.

Verma Farms

Verma Farms Products is a health and wellness brand that carries a good variety of CBD products. All the CBD products they sell have a Hawaiian theme, like Maui Melon gummies, Pineapple Party CBD infused dried fruits, to Lemon Lime CBD oil. Their formulas are designed to help a person relax, focus and achieve better overall recovery.

Forbes did a review on Verma, claiming it to be the brand that offers “the most well-rounded and best tasting (CBD) on the market.” This CBD company has also received high praise from Men’s Journal, Entrepreneur Media, and The Observer, but are they one of the best CBD companies around? We’ll do a full review on Verma Farms, the brand, the CBD products, and what people are saying about it.

As always, consult a doctor before taking any new supplement, especially CBD. CBD has been known to cause some adverse side effects when taken with prescription medications. A doctor will know if CBD is right for you.

A Little Bit About Verma Farms

A Verma Farms review wouldn’t be complete unless we talked a bit about the company. Situated in the picturesque landscape of Maui, Verma Farms founder AJ Agrawal started the company in 2019. Although relatively new to the world of CBD companies, they claim that their CBD products are “untapped and pure” as the beautiful landscapes of Hawaii.

This very landscape inspired the use of organic farms as Verma Farms sources for their hemp-derived CBD products. On their website, they state, “We believe that quality comes from keeping things as pure as possible, [and] we work tirelessly on improving our process to give you an unadulterated, authentic experience.”

Best CBD Wax

When you mention the word “CBD”, products like CBD gummies, CBD capsules, and CBD oil are some of the first to come to mind, but what about CBD wax? CBD wax doesn’t seem to be as popular a topic of conversation when discussing CBD products. However, a relatively substantial group of enthusiasts and amateurs appreciate all that CBD wax offers.

If you have heard about CBD wax, you’ll notice it is associated with CBD dabs. In reality, the two terms are pretty interchangeable in the world of cannabis. If you’re a newcomer to CBD (Cannabidiol) or an experienced CBD consumer who wants CBD wax, you may be wondering what the best sources for the best CBD wax products are? Let us help get you started on your CBD wax journey.

What is CBD Wax?

Before we get into who makes the best CBD waxes, let’s first look at what CBD wax is. CBD is cannabidiol that comes from industrial hemp plants. Along with other cannabinoids like CBN, CBG, and THC. Also found in industrial hemp are amino acids, terpenes, and flavonoids.

The cannabinoid THC is a psychoactive compound that gives a person that feeling of being “high.” However, legal CBD products grown on industrial hemp farms must contain only 0.3% THC or less to be sold as CBD products.

CBD wax (or CBD dab wax, hemp wax) is just that – a wax. It resembles ear wax that is sticky and soft with a gel-like appearance in different colors ranging from opaque to yellow to dark brown. CBD wax goes through an extraction process where the CBD is extracted from the hemp plant using a CO2 extraction process. What remains is pure CBD.

CBD Dosages: How Much Should You Use?

People might have heard about the various benefits of CBD, but do they actually know about the right CBD dosage that a person should have? CBD, or Cannabidiol, is one of the many active components found inside a cannabis plant that can have different effects on the human body. CBD may be present in a variety of products we use on a daily basis, whether that is a CBD cream, CBD oil, capsules, or maybe CBD gummies that everyone seems to enjoy. While the explosion of CBD products is great, how does one know what the correct CBD dosage is?

In terms of both ingredients and dosage, the amount of CBD varies in products. Most importantly, there is no exact quantity or dosage of CBD that is safe to treat a particular condition.

More About Cannabidiol, or CBD

CBD the second most common cannabinoid found in the marijuana plant. Unlike THC, the CBD compound found in the plant does not have any psychoactive effects on the human body. Rather, it is used to deal with several health issues and has become quite a popular ingredient in assisting with potential health issues in the last few years.

CBD has certain mental and physical effects on the human body. Today it has become a popular ingredient to help with one’s anxiety, sleep disorders, and some other cognitive disorders.

How to Use CBD Oil – User’s Guide

CBD oil is rising in popularity for many reasons. It offers many benefits of the cannabis plant without the “high.” The advantages of CBD oil are plentiful, such as helping you with anxiety, pain relief, inflammation relief, and/or lifting your mood. Figuring out how to use CBD oil is pretty straightforward, too.

A great advantage of CBD oil is that there are many ways of using it, and that’s what this article is all about.

How to Use CBD Oil

As mentioned in the introduction, figuring out how to use CBD oil products is very simple, and very straightforward. The only thing that varies in using it comes down to the type of product you will use. There are several different forms that CBD can take. Let’s go ahead and cover them, and how to use them accordingly.

Pure CBD Oil Tinctures

Speaking in practical terms, a pure CBD oil tincture is a form of concoction in which you take it by spraying or using a dropper directly into the mouth. This means that you can use CBD oil as a tincture. If you choose to do so, you should place the CBD oil under the tongue. This is because the said area is rich in capillaries, which can then help speed up CBD oil absorption.

After placing the CBD oil, hold the tincture for about a minute, and then you can swallow.

CBD, the Promiscuous Cannabinoid

New research explores the versatile therapeutic potential of CBD for depression, substance abuse, and antibiotic-resistant infections.

How Long Does CBD Stay in Your System?

It seems that CBD is rising in popularity these days. Many companies incorporate the said ingredient into food, drink, pharmaceuticals, or beauty products.

Because CBD is a relatively new ingredient, many people don’t know how long CBD stays in your body. To shed light on the topic, this is what this article will focus on.

What is CBD?

CBD is an acronym for cannabidiol. It’s primarily derived from the cannabis plant, which is the source of worry for most people who want to try it. Among the reasons why most people ask the question above is the concern that they might fail a drug test. After all, most cannabis plants contain THC, which the usual drug tests will look for.

Can CBD Show in a Drug Test?

Theoretically, you should not get a positive drug test result for using CBD.

However, it’s not that simple in a real-life setting. There are plenty of ways a CBD product can get contaminated with THC. And, if a drug test is sensitive enough, it’s possible to get a positive result depending on the level of THC contamination.

Area 52 Delta 8 Gummies Review and Savings

Hemp products have been popular due to their recreational, medicinal, and other uses. The industry is also proliferating and many states legalize the use of certain forms of cannabis. The Area 52 Delta 8 Gummies review given and described below will introduce you to a quality hemp product that is one of the best-selling in the USA – and for great reason.

Area 52 Delta 8 Gummies: The Benefits

The Delta 8 Gummies lie somewhere in between THC and CBD. Both THC and CBD are found in cannabis/marijuana. However, CBD does not give a high the way THC does. Delta 8 Gummies do not give a high quite as intense as traditional Delta 9 THC, helping to stay focused and sharp.

They provide a down-to-earth and relaxed experience similar to THC, but the high is not as potent and doesn’t last as long. The Delta 8 Gummies as a product can also provide good energy upon consumption and can be a supplement for seniors in an appropriate dosage. The product provides relief from irritation and soreness and can help with weight loss.

Those who are trying to cut back on their cannabis smoking can also kick their habit away by choosing the safer gummies alternative in the form of Delta 8 gummies, being offered by Area 52.

Natural, Quality, and Safe Ingredients in These Gummies

The Delta 8 Gummies are made using pure organic hemp. These plants have been grown on American soil and the extracts are genuine and devoid of impurities. The company uses the chemical process of isomerization and converts cannabidiols into safe 8 THC molecules.
